Rocksalt's Wine Bar is located on the first floor above the restaurant with a beautiful sun deck for the summer months with direct access out to Rocksalt Garden and the harbour viaduct.

Our passion for great produce shown in our food menus is continued into the drink offering, instilling the same focus on quality and creativity through our extensive drinks selection as our relaxed and informal bar menu. Our wine list has been carefully curated with a focus on the best local and continental wines from across the water, with an extensive range of wines sold by the glass that change regularly.

Our drinks list is ably supported by fantastic classic cocktails and features a wide selection of continental beers and innovative low and no options also, all carefully sourced from right on our doorstep to far flung shores. The team behind the bar are constantly creating and conjuring new and exciting seasonal cocktails—stop by and discover our current selection!

An innovative, seasonal food menu

Food plays a big part in Rocksalt Wine Bar and what goes better with a crisp glass of wine than a plate of Oysters? Ours are direct from Maldon and dressed in various ways. Delicious toasties & buns, classic bar dishes, seasonal salads and Charcuterie boards with the finest local Kentish cured meats and cheese complete our bar menu, informal and ideal for those yearning for something to compliment their tipple of choice, whether it be brunch, lunch, afternoon snacks or a hearty dinner.

Breakfast in the Bar

Enjoy the harbour vista as the sun rises and glistens across the water with breakfast served upstairs in the bar.

Rocksalt's Wine Bar is a place for everyone, where people can come together to celebrate all that is fantastic about great wine, drink and food. Whether your destination to begin and end your restaurant dining experience—or simply to make yourself comfortable and while away the day grazing from both the food and drink offerings.

No need to book. Just ROCK Up! Please check our opening times as these can often differ from the main restaurant located on the ground floor.

Note that during school holidays we are open 7 days a week.

Dogs are only permitted outside on the deck or in the garden area. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted inside the bar or main restaurant. Please note that tracksuits and beachwear are not permitted in the bar area.

We’re thrilled to be joining in the celebrations for Folkestone Harbour’s 10th Anniversary with an unforgettable evening of great food, music, and fireworks.

To mark the occasion, we’ll be extending our opening hours and offering front-row seats to the world-class firework display lighting up the harbour at 9:15pm.

  • Firework Feast Dinner in Rocksalt Restaurant: Firework Feast Menu available between 6:30pm to 9:00pm, perfectly timed to enjoy dinner before the big spectacular.
  • Firework Feast in Rocksalt Bar & Garden – DJ Set: From 5:00pm to 9:00pm, enjoy laid-back beats and great drinks with our live DJ set in the Rocksalt Bar & Garden as we build up to the spectacular. Bar menu served upstairs! Then at 9:15pm, take in the breathtaking firework display over the harbour – best viewed right from Rocksalt.
