Get ready for long, sun-soaked days, ice-cold drinks, and the irresistible scent of sizzling barbecue—the Rocksalt Garden & BBQ Experience kicks off from Saturday 24th May, and this summer’s going to be our best yet.


In the meantime, Rocksalt Garden is offered as an extension to our bar and terrace area on a weather dependent basis.

Folkestone's iconic & historic viaduct

Rocksalt's Bar & Garden connect directly onto the viaduct, linking us to the harbour arm and beach area beyond—the ideal destination spot to start or end your day.

Our bar menu will be served on a weather-dependent basis until the garden & BBQ officially reopens Saturday 24th May 2025.

From 24th May our BBQ Garden experience will be available on Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays, with our Daily Bar menu served from the Wine Bar when the garden is open Monday–Friday.

Note that during school holidays we are open 7 days a week.

Please note, dogs are permitted in Rocksalt Garden & outside on the deck, but unfortunately not inside the bar or main restaurant.

We’re kicking off summer in style with the launch of Rocksalt Vibrations in the garden on Saturday 24th May. From 5pm until late, join us (weather permitting) as we transform the garden into an open-air lounge of laid-back grooves, soulful rhythms, and sunset sounds – the perfect setting to wind down after an afternoon on the beach.

Whether you’ve spent the day soaking up the sun and vibes at The Pilot Vibrations or you’re heading straight in for the evening, Rocksalt Garden is the place to be as we launch our Saturday night summer series. Expect carefully selected tracks, chilled drinks, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere right by the sea.

With the sun setting in the distance and the music flowing into the night, Rocksalt Vibrations is where you want to be this summer!

Join us at Rocksalt Garden for a summer evening of 80s nostalgia and seaside celebration. The Wuthering Heights Sunset Special kicks off at 4pm, dance your way across the viaduct and straight into Rocksalt Garden.

Expect an unforgettable soundtrack from DJ Dalawax and Jamie Bannett, delivering the very best in Kate Bush classics and 80s favourites.

Special Offer: Enjoy 2-for-1 on all “Kate Bush” cocktails between 4–8pm, available to anyone dressed in red.

Fuel up before with our Garden BBQ, served from 12–4pm.

We’re thrilled to be joining in the celebrations for Folkestone Harbour’s 10th Anniversary with an unforgettable evening of great food, music, and fireworks.

To mark the occasion, we’ll be extending our opening hours and offering front-row seats to the world-class firework display lighting up the harbour at 9:15pm.

  • Firework Feast Dinner in Rocksalt Restaurant: Firework Feast Menu available between 6:30pm to 9:00pm, perfectly timed to enjoy dinner before the big spectacular.
  • Firework Feast in Rocksalt Bar & Garden – DJ Set: From 5:00pm to 9:00pm, enjoy laid-back beats and great drinks with our live DJ set in the Rocksalt Bar & Garden as we build up to the spectacular. Bar menu served upstairs! Then at 9:15pm, take in the breathtaking firework display over the harbour – best viewed right from Rocksalt.
